[ingredients]
  • 1 x 400g canned chickpeas (don’t drain!)
  • 1 tbsp + 1/4 tsp tahini
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 large garlic clove, chopped
  • 3 tbsp natural yoghurt
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 50ml extra virgin olive oil
  • Za’Atar spice blend
[time] 15 minutes
[method]
  1. Heat oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Stir in the Za’Atar and remove from heat. Let cool.
  2. Drain the chickpea liquid into a pan and warm through with the cumin.
  3. Allow to cool slightly and blend with the chickpeas, tahini, yoghurt, lemon juice and garlic.
  4. Put into an airtight container and sprinkle with the Za’Atar spices.
