This Strawberry Lemonade Kombucha Bowl recipe is oh-so-sweet (without any added sugar) and oh-so-delicious. The sweet taste comes from the fruit, both the strawberries and banana, as well as the addition of our Nexba Rose Lemonade Kombucha.
With the unprecedented times we are experiencing worldwide, now, more than ever, we need to do what we can to look after our health. We need to increase intake of foods to support our immunity and nurture our gut health so that we give ourselves the best chance to fight off and prevent illness. A few healthy habits to establish to keep our immunity firing:
- Eat lots of nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables
- Including fermented foods such as kefir, sauerkraut and kombucha
- Take Vitamin C supplements or eat Vitamin C rich foods
- Incorporate anti-inflammatory ingredients such as turmeric
- Cook with medicinal ingredients such as garlic and ginger
- Stay adequately hydrated
What makes Nexba kombucha so good?
Each kombucha bottle contains 500 million live probiotics. Our unique strain of probiotics can survive the journey from mouth to gut where they work hard to promote optimum health. The probiotics are so robust that our kombucha doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge.
The extra brewing time ensures our kombucha has zero sugar, zero caffeine and zero alcohol. It also removes that vinegar-like taste that many consumers report after trying kombucha for the first time.
Containing no alcohol and no caffeine our kombucha will not only support your gut health but will also help to keep you hydrated.
Now, let’s talk about the health benefits of strawberries…
With so many ‘superfood’ berries available, sometimes we forget that strawberries, with their rich red colour, are also packed with antioxidant phytonutrients. The humble strawberry plays an important role in protecting us against free radical damage and inflammation that can lead to chronic disease. Strawberries also have a favourable impact on blood sugar, an important consideration for everybody, especially those with diabetes or pre-diabetes.
Strawberries are a fantastic dietary choice and come with an excellent nutritional profile of:
- Vitamins A and C
- minerals including magnesium
- calcium
- fibre
In addition, strawberries are low GI, low calorie and readily available. Ticking all boxes!
